9/11 In Memory Of

Written on September 11, 2011 by Mz Gina

As if it were only yesterday, some losses you just cannot forget. The people, the sorrow, the pain, the horror and the aftermath that would only continue to take even more innocent lives. For reasons that will never equal to an acceptable plausible answer. Even with any of the deaths of those responsible, very little solace can be found. Our losses are immeasurable and will probably never be forgotten.

To those who lost loved ones in the disaster of what became known as the 9/11 Tragedy: brothers, sisters, daughters, sons, mothers, fathers, children, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; my heart and my prayers are with you, like that of so many others who will never forget. Your loss has been felt by this nation, by us New Yorker’s, and continues to be felt in the hearts of so many.

To the countless men and women of the NYPD, FDNY, EMS, Transit Authority, Hospitals, Clergy, Teachers, Military, the Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the Samaritans who just stayed and helped, and to those who came and helped and died trying to help, Thank You. (Please forgive me if I left anyone out, I truly did not mean to.) Thank you for being such courageous, loving, and caring people. We are a nation made up of a variety of people that can disagree at times, but we have a common bond of family loyalty. When anyone picks on our family, our family is all of America. I am lucky to live in such a wonderful country and state, where family is where it begins, and ends with.

As for our current Mayor, you have insulted many NYPD, FDNY, EMS Officers, and Clergy; shame on you for not inviting them and their families, claiming there was no room for them. Many New Yorker’s are appalled by such a rude choice of behavior, not to make room for them. It is there right to be there, respectfully. There are many of their family members lost to this tragedy. Many of them and their families are still giving there lives for what happened 10 years ago; and for choosing to save others rather than to selfishly think about themselves. Is it not disgusting enough that they have had to fight for medical coverage, compensation, and aide to their families due to the illnesses they have suffered and endured from 9/11. To those scorned by this man’s obvious lapse in good judgment or heartless act, I apologize, your efforts were not forgotten, and Thank You once again.

God Bless America!

Dedicated to MV, our thoughts and prayers are always with you.
