Flavorful Garlicky Limoney Chicken
a recipe that serves 3-4 by
Ingredients:
3-4 skinless boneless chicken breast halves cut into chunky strips (3/4″-1″ strips)
2 large garlic cloves, diced -divided
2 tablespoons olive oil -divided
2 tablespoons butter -divided
3 tablespoons lime juice -divided
2 teaspoons salt-free lemon pepper -divided
1 cup all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
(All divided ingredients are divided by two, based upon using a 10″ frying pan and dividing chicken into two batches to be cooked in pan at a time.)
Directions:
1. Combine: flour, salt, garlic & onion powder, parsley, paprika and both peppers. Mix well.
2. Bread chicken strips with flour mixture.
3. Heat oil in frying pan, add butter and garlic and slightly begin to cook garlic; then add some chicken and saute chicken until golden brown. (Approximately 20 minutes cooking time, turning every 5 min.)
4. After cooking 5 min. on each side sprinkle each chicken piece with lemon pepper on each side.
5. After cooking 20 min. sprinkle lime juice on each chicken piece with lime juice turn over and cook for 3 min., repeat to other side of each chicken piece.
6. Serve hot with pan dripping pour over chicken pieces.
