Modenese Pork Chops

a recipe for 4 by Stephanie Knewasser @ allrecipes.com

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons butter
4 (1 inch thick) pork chops
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon crushed dried rosemary
2 cloves garlic, minced

Directions:

1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook chops in butter, turning once to brown evenly.
2. Pour in wine, and season with salt, pepper, rosemary, and garlic. Simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes, or until chops are tender. Transfer pork chops to serving plates, and spoon sauce over the meat.

Notes:

I used butter substitute in place of butter, 1 1/2 cups of white wine (to make extra sauce) and 1/4 teaspoon of salt sense table salt (33% less sodium). The garlic and rosemary was still more than enough the aroma is beautiful, and the flavor of the pork chops and sauce is outstanding. I served this great recipe with Pan Roasted Grape Tomatoes (recipe in The Recipe Box under Veggies) and Warm Steamed Zucchini Salad (recipe in The Recipe Box under Salad).
