a recipe that serves 2-4 adapted from Annie Rivard @ allrecipes.com

Ingredients:

3/4 to 1 1/2 lbs cubed steak
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1/4 cup of Canola oil
1/2 medium onion, sliced thinly
2 cloves minced garlic
1 red or green bell pepper, sliced thinly
water

Directions:

1. Season steak with salt and pepper, dredge them through the flour (shake off excess).
2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
3. Heat oil in frying pan over medium-high heat and brown steak in oil (this takes minutes on each side).
4. Transfer steaks to a pam sprayed glass baking dish. Place garlic, onion and pepper over top of steaks. Pour 1/4″ or less water in pan. Cover and wrap baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
5. Bake for 1 hour then lower heat to 350 degrees for another 15 minutes. Remove one corner of foil, turn off oven and let set in oven with heat off for another 15 minutes.
