Slow Cooker Chicken and Beans Barbeque

Ingredients:
3 lbs. skinless chicken thighs (can be boneless)
salt and pepper to taste
3-4 large potatoes, cut into large cubes
1 onion quartered
1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can butter beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup barbeque sauce (homemade or store bought)
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
1 teaspoon steak sauce
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
3 large garlic cloves, minced
Directions:
1. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. In a large skillet sprayed with Pam, brown the chicken; cooking 3 to 5 minutes on each side.
2. Arrange chicken in the bottom of 6 to 7 quart slow cooker sprayed with Pam. Place potatoes, onions, and then beans on top of the chicken.
3. Mix barbeque sauce, chicken broth, mustard, steak sauce, cumin, chili powder, and garlic in a bowl and pour it over the top of the beans.
4. Set the slow cooker to low for 4 1/2 hours, stirring pot after 2 hours.
Notes:
Serves nice with a green salad.
