Slow Cooker Lemon and Garlic Chicken Breasts

a recipe that serves 4 by me

Ingredients:

3/4-1 tablespoon lemon pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 1/2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut in half lengthwise
2 tablespoons olive oil
6 clove garlic, chopped
3 cups chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried parsley

Directions:

1. In a small bowl, mix the lemon pepper and garlic powder. Sprinkle the mixture onto the chicken.
2. In a Pam sprayed skillet over medium heat add oil and brown chicken 5 to 10 minutes on each side. When just about done add 1/3 the chopped garlic to brown.
3. Place chicken and browned garlic in Crockpot sprayed with Pam. Add parsley evenly spread.
4. In a medium bowl mix the chicken broth, lemon juice, oregano, and remaining garlic.
5. Pour over the chicken in the Crockpot.
6. Cover, and cook on for 4 hours. Turning chicken after 2 hours. Then turn chicken again and leave on warm for an hour, before serving.

Notes:

Can replace chicken breast with skinless boneless chicken thighs.
