Sweety’s Southern Spicy Fried Flounder

a recipe that serves 4 by Sweety

Ingredients:

3 cups all purpose flour
4 flounder fillets or 1 lb
1/2 quarts light buttermilk
5 small dashes of Tabasco sauce
a dash of salt
1/4 teaspoon – to 1/2 teaspoon each of these seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, Cajun spice with no salt seasoning, black pepper and paprika
1/4 to 1/2 cup Canola oil for frying

Directions:

1. Heat oil until very hot.
2. In a bowl mix buttermilk and Tabasco sauce.
3. In a dish mix flour, seasonings and salt .
4. Dip each fish piece into buttermilk, dredge through flour mix and again dip into buttermilk and dredge through flour mix.
5. Then place coated fish into the hot oil, approx. 4-5 min. each side, but Turning Only Once.
6. When done place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil before serving.
