Warm Pear with Cinnamon Ricotta

a recipe that serves 1 from Health January/February 2011 issue

Ingredients:

1 pear
1/4 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

1. Preheat broiler or toaster oven.
2. Halve and core pear; place on baking sheet. Broil until tender (10-12 minutes).
3. While pear is broiling, in a small bowl combine ricotta and cinnamon.
4. Top warm pear with ricotta mixture.

Notes:

This makes a wonderful breakfast alternative. As an appetizer or snack I would make this recipe to serve two.
