WINTER’S DARKNESS

Behold, as death comes silently
in a cold winter’s night

A breath of wind no less
as the darkness creeps
into the darkest hour

Wails of the weeping willows
sends shiver to my core

The thought of death
Came to my mind in a trance
Engulfing all the contents
for this heart is no more

The Crow covers the night
with its wings of sorrow

Leaving a trail
of the darkest despair
throughout the kingdom
of Man

As its feathers brushed upon
the tears of winter
hear the whispers of death
before its vanishes
forever

to the light of Dawn.
